Update On If WWE Reached Out To Ronda Rousey To Return At A Huge Event

Ronda Rousey WWE 2025

Ronda Rousey headlined WWE Evolution in 2018, but was missing from its sequel in 2025.

The Baddest Woman on the Planet had two stints in WWE. The first was between 2018 and ’19, and the next was between 2022 and ’23. Her second run ended on a sour note, as she often goes on record and paints the company in a bad light. Be that as it may, Ronda Rousey was part of some of the most significant moments in WWE’s women’s division.

This includes her main event title defense against Nikki Bella at the first-ever all-women’s pay-per-view in 2018. Naturally, when Evolution 2 was being promoted, the WWE Universe expected the former UFC mauler to show up in some form or fashion.

Ronda Rousey Reveals WWE Had Not Contacted Her, But The Door Was Always Open

Speaking to Yahoo! Sports recently, Ronda Rousey opened up about her current WWE status.

She clarified that at this stage in her life, she could not be on the road. However, she also added that she wishes to continue wrestling while also writing:

I didn’t hear from anybody. It was more of the way we left it was, they were like, ‘There’s always an open door; if you ever want to come back, let us know,’” Rousey said.

“I just don’t think I could ever be on the road with the company again. I have two girls now, and hopefully we can have some more soon, I’d love that. And there’s just no room in my life to be able to maintain that lifestyle and a family at the same time.”

WWE Evolution 2 was headlined by the new generation of stars, as Rhea Ripley vs. IYO SKY closed the show. Naomi also decided to cash in her Money in the Bank contract during the main event, ergo winning the Women’s World Championship.

Meanwhile, the show also honored former legends, as Nikki Bella and Trish Stratus both returned for a match respectively, at the second edition of the all-women’s PLE.
