A new report has provided an update on the status of former WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor.
This year’s men’s Royal Rumble was full of surprises and returns, but with only 30 slots available, not everyone was able to get a chance to secure their place in the main event of WrestleMania38.
One man who was noticeable by his absence was Finn Balor. On the December 20th episode of Raw, Balor defeated Austin Theory. After the match, an enraged Theory attacked ‘The Prince’ backstage and delivered a brutal beatdown that wrote him off television for nearly a month.
Balor returned to the red brand on January 18th to face the man who had put him on the shelf. Theory, however, was determined to impress Vince McMahon, who has been acting as a mentor to the young star in recent weeks.
The former member of The Way proved to be too much for the former NXT Champion and pinned him clean in the middle of the ring. He celebrated in his signature style, taking selfies with the fallen Balor and also of himself as he walked up the ramp in victory. Balor did not appear on the following week’s edition of Raw and was also missing from the Royal Rumble match on January 29th.
Confirmed with a source that Finn Balor is not injured in anyway, he is out of the country however. WWE expects him back in plenty of time for WrestleMania.

Meanwhile, Finn Balor has posted on Twitter himself, seemingly confirming that he is currently in Ireland. The star posted a photo showing him outside The Temple Bar Pub in Dublin, and instead of throwing 30 men over the top rope in the Royal Rumble, he hints that he’s set himself the challenge of downing 30 pints before closing time.
