A new report has offered a hint as to when fans might get to see Edge return to action.
Edge hasn’t been seen on WWE television since June 6th when he was kicked out of Judgment Day, the group he had founded with Damian Priest.
On the show, Edge, Priest and Rhea Ripley came to the ring to toast their success over Finn Balor, Liv Morgan and AJ Styles at Hell In A Cell. As part of the celebration the Rated R Superstar explained that the group would be gaining a new member.
To the shock of everyone in attendance and watching at home, this brought out Finn Balor. After all, the former Universal Champion had only been trying to dismantle Edge 24 hours previously. However, while Balor did join the group, it was at the expense of the WWE Hall of Famer.
Balor, Ripley, and Priest attacked the 11-time world champion, delivering a vicious beating punctuated by a con-chair-to.
While Edge has been away for almost six weeks, his exile may be about to come to an end. A new report from Fightful Select has claimed that WWE were planning to bring the star to Madison Square Garden for the SummerSlam ‘go-home’ edition of Monday Night Raw.
Although Fightful add that they cannot confirm that he will be on the show, the report notes that internal plans call for him to be there.
WWE have been airing mysterious vignettes since Money In The Bank seemingly hinting at the return of a huge star. While WWE are keeping their cards close to their chest, the vignettes are said to be for Edge.
There have also been reports which suggest that Dominik Mysterio could be making his long-awaited heel turn at the same show.
