Update On “Confrontation” Between Charlotte Flair And Nia Jax On RAW

Charlotte Flair & Nia Jax

A new report has confirmed that Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax had a “legitimate confrontation” during their match on Monday Night RAW.

Nia Jax appeared in dominating form on the latest episode of the red brand, taking out Rhea Ripley before meeting Charlotte Flair later on in the night. Jax initially accompanied tag team partner Shayna Baszler to the ring for her match with Ripley, before attacking Nikki A.S.H and then the Aussie Superstar.

Later on in the night Jax took on RAW Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. Despite the pair squaring off numerous times before, this time the match ran far from smoothly.

At one point during the match Nia Jax picked Flair up for a belly-to-back suplex and dropped The Queen high on her back, shoulders, and neck onto the canvas. Many fans have wondered if there was a hint of reality when the two women began trading slaps before continuing with the match. Flair also delivered a nasty-looking chop block to Jax’s knee in an attempt to set her up for the Figure 8 submission.

The match came to an end with Jax delivering a vicious powerbomb to Flair to pick up the win.

A new report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider has now appeared to confirm the fans’ suspicions. Johnson notes that the match was exactly what it looked like. The match went awry and there were legitimate moments where “real slaps and punches” were thrown. Following a brief breakdown in communication, there was a “legitimate confrontation” between the two Superstars.

However, the finish of the match went as planned and there were no issues between the two when they got backstage.

In the immediate aftermath of the match social media ran wild with speculation about the incident. The posts weren’t just confined to fans either, with WWE Hall of Famer’s also wondering what had happened.

Posting on Twitter, Mick Foley simply asked “WTF was up with that match?”

Charlotte Flair won the RAW Women’s Title at SummerSlam in a Triple Threat match involving Nikki A.S.H and Rhea Ripley. With those two women now seemingly forming an alliance it seems like Nia Jax could be Flair’s next challenger for the gold after defeating her. WWE presents its next pay-per-view Extreme Rules on September 26th.
