There’s a post-injury update on Chelsea Green following her Saturday Night’s Main Event appearance.
The beloved WWE Star had a terrible night over the weekend. Chelsea Green not only lost her chance to regain the Women’s US Championship from Zelina Vega but also got a bloody nose to go along with it, but there seems to be a silver lining to this unfortunate incident.
According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that Chelsea Green would be surprisingly staying on TV, as thankfully, the injury wasn’t as gruesome as it was believed to be. Talking about the situation, Meltzer said:
“It was a clean break, so it’s not bad and I think she is going to stay on television from what I gather, you know she got from a 619 from Zelina Vega”
Though the 619 has been edited, you can clearly see Chelsea’s nose busted open when Vega delivers the Code Red for the win.

Green has achieved admiration from everyone purely through how she portrays her character, so it was evident that there would be a big reaction to her injury. Fans were outraged at Green’s booking, and the injury only added to their frustrations.
Chelsea Green’s husband, Matt Cardona, also shared his thoughts, while his wife received some advice from a WWE Hall of Famer about how she could deal with her injury.
The news of Chelsea Green staying on TV is great, as this could build up to a redemption arc for her character. Fans have been clamoring for her to win the women’s Money In The Bank match, and with the PLE approaching soon, there could be a possibility for the WWE to consider the possibility.
