Brandi Rhodes’ return to wrestling is still up in the air despite having trained at the WWE Performance Center.
Like her husband Cody, Brandi Rhodes departed from AEW on February 15th, 2022. Many have speculated about when the former AEW Chief Brand Officer will join her husband in WWE.
Fightful reported in August that Brandi trained at the WWE Performance Center. Sources told Fightful Brandi participated in a match at a PC Live Event and that she competed against a “newer talent.” Since then, her potential return to wrestling has been kept under wraps.
Fightful Select is now reporting Brandi is still a free agent despite having trained at the PC. This comes as news of Warner Bros Discovery attempting to make “several efforts” to keep the Rhodes couple before departing from AEW began circulating on October 2nd. Top brass at WBD reportedly would have been thrilled to have kept the Rhodes couple, but it wasn’t a “dealbreaker” by any means.
It’s unclear whether Brandi would continue wrestling again on national television. She wrestled her last match against KiLynn King on an episode of AEW Dark: Elevation on January 26th, 2022.
Meanwhile, her husband remains on the sidelines after undergoing successful surgery to repair his torn right pectoral tendon. According to reports, Cody Rhodes is still a heavy favorite to win the 2023 Royal Rumble.
