A report has given a fresh update on the status of a WWE Superstar who is currently missing in action.
Lacey Evans returned to WWE in April after a lengthy period on the side-lines due to the birth of her second child.
The star returned to television with a vastly different character and appeared in a number of vignettes seemingly with the aim of making her a babyface. Despite originally appearing on SmackDown, Evans made a brief switch to Raw before moving back to the blue brand. In the weeks following her return she turned on the fans and established herself as a heel once more.
The star hasn’t wrestled on WWE television since competing in the Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match back on July 2nd.
Although she was advertised to wrestle on the July 29th edition of SmackDown against Aliyah but she was pulled from the show, with WWE commenting that she hadn’t been medically cleared.
This was followed by reports that WWE simply didn’t have any creative for the star, who had been a favourite of former Chairman Vince McMahon.
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp has revealed that he reached out to the company regarding Evans’ status and was told that she is “medically side-lined.” The specific meaning of the phrase is unclear.
"Medically sidelined" was the phrase WWE gave me when I asked https://t.co/oFIWyrDhZV

Lacey Evans signed with WWE in 2016, initially appearing in NXT and competing in the 2017 Mae Young Classic. She later became a regular feature on NXT, feuding with the likes of Kairi Sane and Dakota Kai. After losing out in her efforts to become number one contender for the NXT Women’s Championship later that year, Evans made her main roster debut in the 2019 Royal Rumble.
