Update On When Konosuke Takeshita Is Expected To Return To AEW

Konosuke Takeshita makes his entrance on AEW Rampage 2022

Konosuke Takeshita wowed AEW audiences over the summer and if reports are to be believed, he’s about to do so all over again!

We may just be a “couple of weeks” away from seeing Konosuke Takeshita return to All Elite Wrestling.

This comes via Dave Meltzer on a Wrestling Observer Radio broadcast, stating that the Japanese sensation will be “coming back” in just a matter of weeks. This would indicate a return for Takeshita at the end of October if things go according to plan.

Konosuke Takeshita, perceived as the Ace of DDT Pro-Wrestling, first competed for AEW in April 2021, though he didn’t formally go on tour with the company until a year later. Victories have come against the likes of Brandon Cutler, Rhett Titus, and Anthony Henry, while he’s also shared the ring in memorable clashes opposite Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli.

Takeshita wrestled his most recent match for the Tony Khan-helmed promotion on 17 September during an AEW Games presentation at the Tokyo Game Show. He and Yuka Sakazaki were victorious over Christopher Daniels and Ryo Mizunami, having also defeated Chris Brookes earlier that day.

Konosuke previously confirmed his return to the United States after a loss to defending KO-D Openweight Champion Kazusada Higuchi on 25 September. He’s expected back in the country for a two-and-a-half month period.
