Kevin Owens has been absent from WWE programming as of late, but a new report hints that he could be back as soon as tonight!
Prior to WWE Money in the Bank, Kevin Owens was in the middle of a feud with Ezekiel. A qualifier for the titular match was scheduled between ‘The Prizefighter’ and either Ezekiel, Elias, or their third brother Elrod but the match, announced for the 27 June Raw broadcast, was ultimately nixed.
The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer noted that Owens was out with a “minor injury”, but now it appears he could be due to return. Fightful Select have reported that, as of last night, an edition of the KO Show was planned for the next edition of Monday Night Raw, airing tonight from Tampa.
Kevin Owens last appeared on Raw’s 20 June broadcast, interrupting the concert of the returning Elias. Owens’ rivalry against Elias and his twins has been ongoing since the Raw following WrestleMania 38, with Ezekiel debuting to confront the former Universal Champion.
Signed to WWE in August 2014, the former Kevin Steen has enjoyed success, both in NXT and on the main roster. Having held the Universal, NXT, Intercontinental, and United States Championships, Kevin Owens is well on his way to becoming the next Triple Crown Champion in the company.
Although he’s been absent from WWE programming for just under a month, Owens did surprise Bruce Boudreau during the NHL Draft
