A new report has offered an update on the condition of former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley after he was linked with a WrestleMania return.
Bobby Lashley hasn’t been seen inside a WWE ring since Elimination Chamber on February 19th in Saudi Arabia. At the event, Lashley was set to compete inside the Elimination Chamber, defending his WWE Championship.
However, before he even made it into the match, Seth Rollins hit a Bucklebomb on Austin Theory sending him through Lashley’s pod and into the champion. Lashley was then escorted from the match, as a result of “concussion protocol.” In reality, Lashley had sustained a shoulder injury leading up the event, which was thought to require surgery.
At the time it was reported that the All-Mighty would miss up to four months of action.
Despite this, it was recently reported that Lashley could be heading for a match at WrestleMania 38 against Omos. The giant has been running through opponents with ease in recent weeks, most recently demolishing Commander Azeez and Apollo Crews on the March 21st episode of Monday Night Raw.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider has now given an update on Lashley’s recovery. The report states that the former WWE Champion was at AT&T Stadium in Dallas last week, and the hope is that he’ll be cleared to compete at WrestleMania. Although it’s not 100% certain that will the case.
The same report notes that Bianca Belair wasn’t at Raw, as she continues her feud with Becky Lynch. WWE recently reported that the star would be out of action for a “unspecified amount of time” with an injury to her throat. However, the ‘injury’ is purely for storyline purposes, and Belair missed the show in order to sell it.
