WWE have released a Survivor Series trailer claiming that The Undertaker will “bid his final farewell” at the pay-per-view, which marks the 30th anniversary of the Deadman’s WWE debut.
WrestleVotes had reported last month that Undertaker was set to appear at Survivor Series, but is not scheduled to wrestle at the event. WWE have now confirmed that The Deadman will indeed appear, and are advertising it as the farewell.
Survivor Series, which takes place on November 22nd, will mark the end of WWE’s 30 Days of the Deadman celebration, which sees a new documentary released every Sunday, beginning this weekend, culminating in The Undertaker returning to Stone Cold Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions on the 30th anniversary of his debut – Sunday, November 22nd – the day of Survivor Series.
WrestleVotes, who have broken several big stories in the past, also report that the Survivor Series PPV will be “built around” the 30th anniversary of The Undertaker, as well as The Deadman appearing in the ThunderDome for the first time.
If the report comes to fruition, this would mark Undertaker’s first WWE appearance since his Boneyard Match with AJ Styles on the first night of this year’s WrestleMania – which was later assumed to be The Deadman’s farewell match following the WWE Network’s Last Ride documentary series which followed the WWE legend around for seemingly the final few years of his career, documenting Mark Calaway’s internal struggle with knowing when the right time was to retire.
