The Undertaker

The Undertaker is all to familiar with famous streaks and the WWE Hall Of Famer appreciates the one Roman Reigns is currently running on.

The Deadman is retired from in-ring action, but it’s given him time to enjoy the stars that continue to legitimize the business and that includes your current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. Speaking with The Independent, Undertaker considers the current reign of Roman a strong reason to put him as one greatest to ever lace up a pair of wrestling boots.

“He’s doing a phenomenal job. His character, his talent and everything has grown exponentially through this run. It’s arguably one of the greatest runs ever. I like it because it’s such an old school move, to have the title that long,”

Roman Reigns surpassed 1,000 days as champion on May 27, 2023 and if you ask the man himself, there’s nobody that will unseat him from the “head of the table.” Although The Undertaker hung up his hat in 2020, he sees a different person in Reigns than the one he lost to six years ago at WrestleMania 33.

“I would love to be healthy enough to have a match now with Roman Reigns. When we worked at [WrestleMania 33], I was on my last legs. And he wasn’t he wasn’t nearly the performer that he is now.”

Reigns full embracement of being a heel has indeed catapulted the once polarizing fighter to super stardom, so much that the only former WWE Champions that currently stand ahead of him in title reigns is Bruno Sammartino, Hulk Hogan, Bob Backlund and Pedro Morales, the latter he will almost certainly pass later this year.
