Two WWE NXT stars may not be officially called up to the main roster despite what has been seen on TV.
As has been seen over the past few years, stars who have nothing left to do in NXT have been called up to Raw or SmackDown either on one of the first shows after WrestleMania or as part of the draft.
On the Raw after Mania, Roxanne Perez and Giulia both made their presence felt as they attacked IYO SKY and Stephanie Vaquer to bring the champion vs. champion match to a no contest. Following the appearance, Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that both Giulia and Perez have been called up to the main roster, adding that they were wearing the Topps patches that signify their debuts.
However, as part of the F4WOnline daily update, Dave Meltzer has stated that while Giulia and Perez could be a part of the Raw roster, they are still both considered to be NXT wrestlers:
“There are reports that Giulia and Perez are both called up to Raw, and that may be the case. When asked about it today, we were told that as of today they are both still considered NXT wrestlers, unlike Fraxiom who are now Smackdown wrestlers. Last week they did look to be building Giulia & Perez in a match with Iyo Sky & Stephanie Vaquer.”
WWE Continues To Build To Backlash
Now that WrestleMania 41 has come and gone, the next Premium Live Event on the calendar will be Backlash on May 10th. Along with John Cena set to defend the Undisputed Championship against Randy Orton, Lyra Valkyria will put her Women’s Intercontinental Championship on the line against Becky Lynch and Pat McAfee will face Gunther.
