Uncertainty Grows Over Rumoured WWE UK Show

Plans for WWE‘s 2025 Elimination Chamber to be held in the United Kingdom may be at risk, according to a recent report.

WrestleVotes and Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer previously noted that the event was slated for March, with England being the chosen host country. Birmingham and Manchester were initially identified as the top contenders to host the arena-sized event.

However, in a new update from WrestleVotes Radio, The O2 in London has emerged as another potential location, complicating the decision. But the show’s UK prospects are now uncertain due to a surge in interest from Canada, which could shift plans away from the British Isles.

Along with Birmingham and Manchester, London is now on the board with The O2 arena as being a possible location. The show is to be arena-sized and not stadium-based. However, we are told…that other countries have certainly enquired and there is significant interest in the show being held in Canada as well. So with that said, I would say the United Kingdom is definitely still the favourite. However, to be determined, as Canada has jumped in kind of the last minute here.

The Elimination Chamber event last took place in Canada in 2022, when Montreal, Quebec, hosted the event. If WWE moves forward with the UK, it would be the first time the Elimination Chamber takes place there. WWE has held three pay-per-views in the United Kingdom since 2022, reflecting the company’s recent efforts to expand its international presence. However, with Canada now in the mix, fans on both sides of the Atlantic will have to wait to see where the show will take place.

Which Other Country Is WWE Reportedly Looking To Host A Major Show From?

It has been reported that WWE is looking to host a major show in Japan, it was said that the company is trying to make a big push in the Japanese market and that due to there being a lot of Japanese talent on the roster, as well as the promotion having a recent successful tour of Japan, that a big show may be on the cards soon.

In a new update, talks for the possible WWE UK show have “cooled off.”
