Following his victory over Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium, WBC Champion Tyson Fury has set his sights on a return to WWE at SummerSlam.

On April 23rd, Tyson Fury successfully retained the WBC Championship against challenger Dillian Whyte by a sixth-round stoppage in front of 94,000 fans in Wembley Stadium.

At the post-match press conference, the topic of a WWE return came up when ‘The Gypsy King’ was asked about the upcoming show at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. Fury said he would love to be at the show, but first, he has his sights set on SummerSlam.

“Don’t rule me out of fighting there. You might see me at SummerSlam coming up soon.

Last year, Tyson Fury confirmed that WWE had planned a match between him and Drew McIntyre which was due to take place at a special UK pay-per-view. Those plans had to be shelved because of the COVID-19 pandemic. At the press conference, the undefeated heavyweight had some words of warning for McIntyre.

“I’ve got to speak to Vince [McMahon] and the boys. Maybe make this happen. I know Drew McIntyre has been saying a lot of things about me. I have to knock him out.”

Fury went on to explain how much he enjoyed working with WWE in Saudi Arabia, where he scored a win over Braun Strowman by knockout.

“I’d love to be at Cardiff, I’d love to be back at centre stage in the UK, especially for the wrestling. I enjoyed it last time in Saudi Arabia, it was fantastic. To come here and do it would be phenomenal.

“I’m definitely gonna make a bit of contact and see, can we make that SummerSlam thing a reality?”
