AJ Styles is expected to have fellow WWE stars as company when he competes in Pro Wrestling NOAH.
On June 16th, a blockbuster announcement revealed that AJ Styles would be heading to Pro Wrestling NOAH to face Naomichi Marufuji on July 13th. This dream match will mark the first bout between the two men.
Following the announcement Styles sent a message to his opponent stating he wasn’t returning to Japan to lose. He said:
This is WWE Superstar AJ Styles and I am here to announce that will be coming to Japan to face Japanese legend Marufuji at the Budukon for the NOAH event on July 13th. Marufuji I know way too much than I should about you and how talented you are. You’ve been doing this for a long time and your resume speaks for itself. But I’m not coming to Japan to lose, lets tear the house down on July 13th.
Which WWE Stars Will Join AJ Styles In Pro Wrestling NOAH?
According to a new report from PWInsider Elite, Styles isn’t expected to be the only WWE star in attendance at the DESTINATION pay-per-view. The report notes that the word in the WWE locker room is that Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson are expected to accompany AJ Styles and appear in his corner during the show.
Gallows and Anderson have recently spent time in NXT, where they unsuccessfully challenged Axiom and Nathan Frazer for the NXT Tag Team Championship at Battleground on June 9th.
At Clash at the Castle, Styles attempted to dethrone Cody Rhodes as Undisputed WWE Champion. However, Rhodes retained his title when he forced Styles to say “I quit.”
In recent news, more Money in the Bank qualifying matches have been confirmed for the June 24th WWE Raw.
