Two WWE NXT Stars Set To Be “Main Roster Mainstays” Following WrestleMania 39

Bron Breakker Pretty Deadly Carmelo Hayes Trick Williams WWE NXT

WrestleMania season brings with it plenty of excitement, and some WWE fans are already speculating about what roster changes might be made following the blockbuster event.

In recent years, it’s become customary for NXT stars to be called up to the company’s main roster following WrestleMania, and according to a new report from WRKD Wrestling, both Cameron Grimes and current NXT Champion Bron Breakker are set to be “main roster mainstays” following the April event.

Grimes has been absent from NXT television in recent months, last competing on the November 8th episode of the show in a losing effort against Joe Gacy.

The previous month, he appeared on Monday Night Raw to recruit The OC as his tag team partners to take on The Schism, paying them enough money to get them to agree. He also appeared on the Main Event taping prior to the show, leading to speculation that he could be main roster-bound.

A November report from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer indicated that the plan was indeed for the star to debut on either Raw or SmackDown following his loss to Gacy, but fans hoping to see the meme stock mogul have yet to see him debut.

A follow-up report from Meltzer on a late February edition of Wrestling Observer Radio indicates that the main roster is still the plan for the former NXT North American Champion, but that those in creative don’t currently have a story for him.

“Cameron Grimes was finishing up in NXT because he was being called to the main roster and right now what’s going on is that they are waiting for an idea on the main roster so he’s in limbo. He’s finished with NXT, he’s supposed to be on the main roster but they don’t have a story for him so they haven’t debuted him yet and they’re waiting to come up with a story for him.” (h/t F4WOnline)

Grimes recently posted a photo on social media that showed him in incredible shape ahead of his rumored main roster debut.

Bron Breakker Will Face Carmelo Hayes For The WWE NXT Championship At Stand & Deliver

Meanwhile, Bron Breakker is no stranger to WWE‘s main roster. He began his current NXT Championship reign when he defeated Dolph Ziggler on the April 4th episode of Monday Night Raw, the night after WrestleMania 38.

Breakker is currently embroiled in a feud with former NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes, and the two are set to face off at Stand & Deliver on April 1st. The outcome of their championship bout will serve as a huge indicator of how soon fans can expect to see Breakker on Raw or SmackDown once again.
