At the WWE Royal Rumble, AEW star Ricky Starks was pictured backstage supporting Cody Rhodes as the barriers between the two companies continue to be broken down.
Something of a role reversal has now taken place at AEW Revolution with the news that two WWE Hall of Famers were backstage, even if their appearance was less of a surprise. Ahead of the show it was reported by Fightful Select that The Bellas were visiting backstage. Of course, Brie Bella is married to Bryan Danielson who was competing in the main event.
In that main event, Danielson was attempting to win the AEW World Championship from MJF in a 60-minute Ironman Match. The action in the ring and beyond was as hard-hitting as anyone could have hoped, with both men going hell for leather. The two combatants bled heavily and dished out some unbelievable punishment with the score finishing tied at three falls a piece at the time limit. The final bell sounded with a blood-soaked MJF locked in a half-Boston Crab refusing to tap out.
Once the action resumed into sudden death, Danielson scored the nearest of near falls, before being hit in the head by an oxygen canister that had been used to revive MJF earlier. With the American Dragon struggling, MJF wrapped his rival up in a LeBell Lock forcing him to tap out in stunning fashion.
Elsewhere there were wins for “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry, Ricky Starks, Jamie Hayter, The Gunns, and Wardlow and The House of Black who won the TNT and Trios Titles respectively.

Former WWE Star Claims They’re The Most Hated Person In The Industry
Nikki Bella has been a vocal supporter of women’s wrestling, especially in the wake of the 30th-anniversary episode of WWE Raw. After being criticised for being particularly outspoken, the star said that she is the “most hated” person in the entire wrestling industry.
