Contenders for both the TNT Championship and AEW Women’s Championship were revealed on AEW Dynamite!
The card for Battle of the Belts this Saturday in Grand Rapids, MI is heating up, and two more matches were added on the latest episode of AEW Dyanmite.
In the opening match of the show, Jay Lethal gained a victory over Orange Cassidy despite the Best Friends attempting a distraction by being dressed as a tall man in a trenchcoat with Trent sitting on Chuck Taylor’s shoulders. After the match, Lethal called out TNT Champion Wardlow, who’d saved Orange Cassidy from a beating on Rampage.
Wardlow answered the call and challenged Lethal to a match right then and there, but Sonjay Dutt insisted that it would unfair for Lethal to fight after just facing Orange Cassidy for fifteen minutes. Instead, the TNT Championship match will take place at Battle of the Belts.
Looks like we just got another title match added to #AEWBattleOfTheBelts III this Saturday at 8/7c on TNT: Wardlow (c) vs. Jay Lethal for the TNT Championship!

Later in the episode, Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter faced off against ThunderStorm, the team of Toni Storm and AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa. Hayter scored the victory for her team by pinning Toni Storm, and off the heels of her victory, she’ll be facing Thunder Rosa for the AEW Women’s Championship at Battle of the Belts.

AEW Dynamite also saw two longtime teams declared defunct as not only did Taz declare that Team Taz is no more following Powerhouse Hobbs’ attack on Ricky Starks last week, but the Undisputed Elite also imploded when Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, and Bobby Fish attacked the Young Bucks. Adam Page made the save for his former friends, so it appears that the Elite members might be back on the same page.
Elsewhere on the show, Max Caster dropped Vince McMahon’s name during his rap on the way to face the Gunn Club in a Dumpster Match.
