Facing Brock Lesnar is one thing, facing him twice is certainly a bold choice, but wanting to face him a third time in an Extreme Rules Match is an interesting move, to say the least.
For years wrestling fans called on WWE to make a match between Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar happen. The two men both have strong amateur wrestling backgrounds as well as a history of competing in MMA.
The pair finally met in a WWE ring at the 2022 Royal Rumble with the WWE Championship on the line. The match saw Paul Heyman finally turn his back on Brock Lesnar and fully align with Roman reigns who interfered in the bout. The end result was Bobby Lashley walking out with the World Championship. Lesnar regained the WWE Championship a month later inside the Elimination Chamber after Lashley was withdrawn from the match due to injury.
However, they met one-on-one at Crown Jewel in November where The Beast scored the win.
Bobby Lashley Wants To Face Brock Lesnar
Speaking in an interview with the Hindustan Times, Lashley said that he would like to get his hands on Lesnar again, but this time wanted to raise the stakes.
“I like the kind of contests where it can make me push myself,” said Lashley. “I like to fight. Brock likes to fight. There’s a lot of similarities between the two of us, so I think that next matchup is what everybody wants to see will be No holds barred. It’s probably gonna come to a point where we’re gonna get locked in a cage or an extreme rules match or something like that. But it’s about to happen.”
Brock Lesnar hasn’t appeared on WWE television since his match with Lashley at Crown Jewel. Meanwhile, the All-Mighty will be back in action on Raw XXX when he takes on United States Champion Austin Theory.
