Two more NXT stars have made appearances on WWE’s main roster.
Last week before WWE Monday Night Raw, the company held their Main Event house show in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center, and during the main roster event, two NXT stars showed up: Carmelo Hayes and Von Wagner.
With Hayes, he would face off against Cedric Alexander, where Hayes would score the victory in a long-lasting bout that would see him put over.
The two would have a highly-contested match, with NXT’s Hayes appearing solid in his first main roster match on TV. The only other main roster appearance that Hayes has had was last year during a Smackdown dark match. Hayes would end landing the win, pulling off a Jericho Codebreaker move that led to the winning leg lariat to the back of Alexander’s head labeled “Nothing But Net” by Hayes.
Lasting just a few minutes because of disqualification, Von Wagner would suffer defeat to R-Truth, and unlike Hayes, there wasn’t much putting over in the favor of Wagner.
However, Wagner was dominating the bout, this until he removed the padding off of the turnbuckle, which forced the attention of the referee over to it. As a result, Truth landed a chair from Benjamin who slid it in the ring, however, Truth didn’t use it, instead throwing it to Wagner and then acted like he was knocked out on the mat. As a result, the referee ended the match via disqualification when he turned around to the view, giving the win to R-Truth.
