Two New WWE Championship Matches Announced For Upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event

WWE Saturday Night's Main Event

Two WWE titles are set to be defended at the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Last month on the 14th December edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Gunther defeated Finn Balor and Damian Priest to retain his World Heavyweight Championship.

However, again on the upcoming edition of SNME on 25th January in San Antonio, Texas, Gunther is set to defend his Heavyweight Championship against ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso. While, on the other hand, Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker will defend his gold against ‘The Celtic Warrior’ Sheamus.

Sheamus defeated Ludwig Kaiser on the 13th January episode of Raw to earn a shot at the title. Meanwhile, Gunther undermined Uso’s abilities to set up a heated and promising title match between the two.

On the December edition of SNME, Chelsea Green defeated Michin to become the inaugural Women’s United States Champion. And, it was Lyra Valkyria who defeated Dakota Kai to become the first-ever Women’s Intercontinental Champion on the 13th January edition of Raw.

Former Champion Penta Has Arrived In WWE

On the same 13th January episode of Raw, former Champion and AEW star, Penta aka Pentagon Jr. made his World Wrestling Entertainment debut. After several months of speculations and weeks of teases, Penta appeared as Chad Gable’s surprise opponent and defeated him, to make his presence felt.
