Two WrestleMania 40 matches are set to be announced by WWE in the near future.
At Elimination Chamber, the two top champions of Raw saw their opponents confirmed as Becky Lynch triumphed in the Women’s Chamber match to secure her shot at Rhea Ripley’s Women’s World Championship. Later in the night, Drew McIntyre was victorious in the Men’s Chamber match to become the new number one contender for Seth Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship. While these matches have been announced by WWE, the events that took place in the Men’s Elimination Chamber match have alluded to 2 more matches that will be officially booked for Philadelphia very soon.
As reported by Dave Meltzer in a daily update, LA Knight vs. AJ Styles is internally listed by WWE to happen at WrestleMania. Styles ran interference in the Chamber match as Knight looked set to secure an elimination. Styles repeatedly struck Knight with a chair to cause The Megastar to be subsequently eliminated.
Additionally, United States Champion Logan Paul is listed to face off against Randy Orton at Philadelphia, presumably with the title on the line. Paul’s use of brass knuckles caused Orton to be knocked out and eliminated from the match. Paul struck Orton after being pinned by The Apex Predator after being hit with an RKO.
Recently AJ Styles revealed he wants one more run with the WWE Championship before he retires.
