After the incredible Full Gear show on November 13th, a new report has suggested that Eddie Kingston and Malakai Black have suffered injuries.
Many AEW stars were scheduled for The Big Event convention in New York City on the day after Full Gear. However, Malakai Black and Eddie Kingston were both absent despite originally being advertised.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that the absences are apparently down to injuries suffered by both men at Full Gear, saying:
“In each instance, the announcement was made that they will not be appearing due to injuries suffered during last night’s Full Gear PPV.”
At Full Gear, Eddie Kingston fought CM Punk after the two men became embroiled in an instantly personal feud in recent weeks. Kingston came up short in the one-on-one bout with Punk picking up the win following the Go 2 Sleep.
Malakai Black on the other hand was part of a tag team contest that pitted two teams that were seemed hesitant to co-exist successfully. Black teamed with Andrade El Idolo to take on the team of PAC and Cody Rhodes. After a heated match in which there seemed to be as much tension between teammates as opponents, The Bastard was able to pick up the victory for his dysfunctional team.
In Full Gear’s main event, Hangman Adam Page finally fulfilled his destiny and defeated Kenny Omega to become AEW World Champion as the era of Cowboy Sh*t arrives in All Elite Wrestling.
