AEW has confirmed they will be hosting two major international events in 2025!

During AEW All In London Zero Hour, the promotion announced that AEW Grand Slam will be coming to the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia on February 15th 2025. This marks their very first event in Australia as well as its first event in the continent of Oceania.

The news follows a report that the company was scouting Australian venues to potentially host a stadium show in the country next year. Tony Khan confirmed the rumours a few days later, though he was cautious about providing any specific details.

Shortly after, the company made a second major announcement: Its streak of hosting an annual pay-per-view event in London will continue when it brings Forbidden Door to the English capital on August 24th 2025.

Unfortunately, the news was seemingly leaked by accident earlier this week. On Friday, several fans spotted banners around Wembley Park, the area surrounding Wembley Stadium, advertising that Forbidden Door would be coming to London in 2025.

However, the venue for the event was not confirmed, unlike the promotion’s earlier announcement that it was headed to Australia. This has led to some speculation that the company will not be returning to Wembley Stadium next year.

Is Bryan Danielson Set To Retire At AEW All In 2024?

The main event of AEW All In 2024, which will see Bryan Danielson challenge AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland, has arguably one of the biggest stipulations in the company’s history: Should Danielson be defeated, he will be forced to retire – ending his legendary 24-year career.

Earlier this week, Dave Meltzer discussed the possibility and reported Danielson was set to dethrone Strickland in original plans for the match from several months ago. Whether this is still the case or if that plan has since undergone changes is unknown.
