Two Former WWE Stars Credit Randy Orton For Getting Their Pitches Approved

Recently released WWE Superstars The Bollywood Boyz, Gurv and Harv Sihra, have praised Randy Orton for helping them make their pitches for matches become a reality.

Speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling, Gurv Sihra recalled that during their involvement in the feud between Orton and Jinder Mahal over the WWE Championship back in 2017, they would pitch their ideas for spots, including his brother Harv’s memorable fall from the Punjabi Prison structure, to the ‘Viper’ and he would take them to the higher-ups for approval.

“Yeah, we made sure, especially with Randy, who was so giving to us and so helpful. You know, whatever ideas we had, he went to the higher-ups and made sure that they came to life. Even like, my brother’s fall off the Punjabi Prison. You know, we pitched it, but Randy is at the top of the totem pole, and he would tell us, ‘Hey, okay, I’m going to go talk to the higher-ups and make sure it happens.’ And sure enough, that’s something people still talk about, the table bump, the falls, and like. A lot of it was pitched to Randy, and Randy gave us his blessing and made sure it happened. So, we are very thankful for that.”

Harv Sihra added that it was thanks to both Orton and Mahal that the two were allowed their moments to shine during the feud, rather than being left with little to do when not in the ring.

“I think that’s a credit to Jinder and Randy, who still allowed us those cool little moments in a spot that you can just stand around and not do much, but it was an opportunity, and I think we seized it.”

The Bollywood Boyz would remain Mahal’s allies until 2019 when they were drafted to 205 Live as part of that year’s ‘Superstar Shakeup’. They remained on the purple brand until earlier this year when they were released from WWE as part of wider roster cuts.

Following their departure from the company, Randy Orton took to Twitter to praise the brothers and said he expects to see them again down the road.
