Two Big WWE Clash of Champions Matches Changed

WWE have confirmed that two big WWE Clash of Champions matches have been changed, in an update following news from POST Wrestling.

Bayley vs. Nikki Cross for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match pitting Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax vs. Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan are the affected matches, John Pollock reported.

WWE have confirmed that Cross, Jax and Baszler have not been cleared to compete. Bayley will be on the show, while the Women’s Championship situation will be addressed on WWE RAW.

Cross, who did not appear on Friday Night SmackDown last week, is an absence WWE is said to have planned for, and it is expected that both matches will be addressed on-air at the Pay-Per-View.

Sean Ross Sapp, in a report on Fightful Select, added that the card has been affected by the COVID outbreak that has taken place not just in WWE but the rest of the wrestling world. Sapp also said that there has been some frustration within WWE as to how training conditions are and that they’ve left many susceptible to exposure of the virus.

In the case of the Women’s Tag Team Championship match at WWE Clash of Champions, Bryan Alvarez has confirmed that this match is completely off, and neither of the competitors will be in action.
