AEW All Out 2022 saw a lot of drama, including the return of MJF and CM Punk regaining the World Championship, but it’s said that two matches didn’t meet their allotted time.
The big news from AEW All Out has of course been the backstage drama between Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, CM Punk, and Ace Steel. Stemming from the post-event media scrum with CM Punk and Tony Khan, Punk spoke his mind about the AEW EVPs, as well as ‘Hangman’ Adam Page and Colt Cabana.
Fightful Select has, however, reported that two matches from the event were cut short because two other matches had more time allotted for them than what was used:
“We’ve heard the Jade Cargill vs. Athena had more time budgeted for it if they wanted, but the match went light on time. We’re told the same for Will Hobbs vs. Ricky Starks.”
Jade Cargill won her match against Athena to retain the AEW TBS Championship and go 37-0 in her undefeated record, while Will ‘Powerhouse’ Hobbs defeated Ricky Starks with a Spinebuster.
On this week’s AEW Dynamite, it was announced that both the AEW World Championship and World Trios Championships were vacated, with Death Triangle becoming the new Trios champions and a Grand Slam Tournament of Champions being announced to crown a new World Champion.
