Trish Stratus To Come Out Of Retirement At WrestleMania 39

Trish Stratus

Trish Stratus warned Bayley that she could go from “retired” to “used to be retired” real quick, and that wasn’t an empty threat.

A week on from her stunning WWE return on Raw, Stratus again appeared on the red brand. The WWE hall of Famer joined Becky Lynch and Lita in the ring as the trio reflected on Stratus helping her friend and The Man win the Women’s Tag Team Titles.

Stratus reminded everyone of the promise she made to Bayley back in the summer, before being interrupted by the star and the rest of Damage CTRL. Bayley said that Lita and Stratus were the reason they were wrestlers, but Damage CTRL would be the reason that they never wrestled again.

In response, Stratus challenged the group to a six-woman tag team match at WrestleMania. Bayley quickly accepted, but that seemed to catch Dakota Kai and IYO SKY by surprise. They tried to get the upper hand by attacking their rivals but were thrown out of the ring, leaving Bayley face-to-face with Becky Lynch. Bayley tried to get one over on Lynch but was also thrown from the ring.

When Did Trish Stratus Last Wrestle?

Trish Stratus hasn’t competed in the ring since being defeated by Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam in 2019. In fact, that has been her only real singles match since ending her full-time career back in 2006.

Stratus is a seven-time Women’s Champion and WWE Hall of Famer.
