WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus spoke in an interview about matches she’d like to have, including a Cage Match.
The formerly retired wrestler made a comeback in 2023 and joined the Monday Night Raw roster. Since Stratus’ return, she has already accomplished one milestone by competing in her first-ever ladder match, the Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
However, the seven-time WWE Women’s Champion has no intentions of stopping there. Trish has expressed her desire to compete inside a steel cage and isn’t concerned with which structure she will be locked in, be that Hell in a Cell, Elimination Chamber, or just a regular steel cage.
Speaking in an interview with TVA Sports, Trish had this to say:
I never had a cage match! It doesn’t matter the type of cage, The one without a roof, a Hell in a Cell, or an Elimination Chamber. There were so many things we weren’t allowed to do back then. I remember I was hit with a chair once and everyone was freaking out. I was like, god, can you just hit me with a chair! So now I want a cage!
What Has Trish Stratus Done Since Her Return To WWE?
Trish Stratus has made sporadic appearances in WWE since her initial retirement in 2006, wrestling in a few different matches over the years. However, she made her full-time return in 2023 with a match at WrestleMania 39.
Since her return Stratus has turned heel for the first time in nearly two decades, attacking Becky Lynch following a tag match. The pair have continued to feud for months now, with Stratus even taking Lynch on during her first live event appearance in 17 years. Stratus had switched between babyface and heel over her career but remained a babyface from 2005 up until her retirement in 2006 and was always a fan favourite whenever she made one of her sporadic appearances.
In recent news it was announced on the August 14th Raw that Trish Stratus will face Becky Lynch in a Steel Cage match.
Recently Trish Stratus shared a photo on X of her injuries she received during her match at WWE Payback.
