WWE Hall of Famer, Trish Stratus has called for one of her greatest opponents and former Women’s Champion to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
After a glittering career which involved seven Women’s Championship wins Stratus joined the Hall of Fame in 2013. During her career, one of her greatest rivals was Victoria. The two had a passionate rivalry that saw them compete in several high-profile matches over the women’s title.
Yet despite being a standout performer in the women’s division Victoria is yet to join the likes of Stratus, Lita, Molly Holly and Ivory in the hallowed ceremony. Stratus was a guest on Casual Conversations with The Classic. During the interview, she called for Victoria to be inducted.
“The aforementioned Mickie James, that’s for sure. I’d like to Victoria [get inducted]. Soon would be great. I think she’s well deserving. I think she’s underrated. I do so many interviews, and people ask me about different feud and different rivalries. I feel like when we were [competing], women’s wrestling was just turning the corner as far as being taken serious. Those matches with her that people [see] like, ‘Oh, this actually legit, and this is a viable part of the entire show.’ So yeah, Victoria for the Hall of Fame,”
Victoria was last seen in WWE as a surprise entrant in the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble. She also recently returned to IMPACT! Wrestling, where she wrestled as Tara. During her TNA/IMPACT career, she captured the Knockouts Championship five times and the Knockouts Tag Team Championships.
Is Trish Stratus Returning To WWE?
A recent report stated that Becky Lynch will be teaming with Lita and Stratus to take on Damage CTRL. Lita returned to WWE on the most recent episode of Raw where she came to help Lynch defeat Bayley in a Steel Cage match after IYO SKY and Dakota Kai got involved.
It was noted that Stratus will be appearing on Raw on February 13th to set up the tag team match at Elimination Chamber.
Stratus last appeared on Raw back in August in her hometown of Toronto, Canada. On that occasion, her promo was interrupted by Bayley and Damage CTRL. In a back-and-forth segment that also featured Bianca Belair, Stratus threatened to come out of retirement to face Bayley.
