Triple Threat Match Set To Determine Next Challenger To Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre

This week’s episode of WWE RAW saw a huge Triple Threat Match scheduled for next week to determine the next challenger for Drew McIntyre and his WWE Championship.

Following on from their monumental win at Survivor Series, several members of Team RAW would steak their claim for the title, with United States Champion Bobby Lashley – who also emerged victorious at the pay-per-view, and former WWE Champion Randy Orton also being in contention.

WWE official Adam Pearce would set up a tournament to determine the next contender, culminating in a Number One Contender’s Triple Threat Match on next week’s RAW. Braun Strowman would not receive an opportunity to gain a title shot after headbutting Pearce in the opening segment of the show.

Riddle picked up a win over Sheamus, Keith Lee defeated Bobby Lashley via disqualification and Randy Orton and AJ Styles would clash for the final spot in the Triple Threat Match. The Fiend, however, would make his presence felt, targeting The Viper ad costing him the match.

Next week’s show will see Riddle vs Keith Lee vs AJ Styles.

The winner of the match on RAW will take on Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at WWE’s next pay-per-view – WWE TLC – on December 20th, live from Tropicana Field, Tampa Bay in WWE’s new ThunderDome location.
