While Sasha Banks remains absent from WWE, the company seemingly already have their eye on the woman who could fill the very famous shoes of The Boss.
Since Triple H assumed creative control of WWE he has set about reshaping the main roster and that has involved bringing back a number of former stars as well as features Superstars from NXT. Even in recent weeks, NXT faction Legado Del Fantasma made their long-awaited main roster debuts on SmackDown.
Cora Jade Seen As The “Next Sasha Banks”
The next NXT hopeful on the way to superstardom could be Cora Jade. Since joining WWE in January 2021, the young star has consistently impressed as already become NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion. Jade’s progress and potential seemingly hasn’t gone unnoticed, with a new report claiming that Triple H sees the star as the “next Sasha Banks.”
Speaking to GiveMeSport, popular Twitter account and wrestling insider WrestleVotes said that everybody loves the NXT star.
“Everybody loves Cora [Jade]. She’s on the fast track to becoming the next Sasha Banks. She has the same thing Sasha has, she’s talented she’s got this unique look about her, she’s super young and she’s pretty decent in the ring, right? The potential of her becoming a big deal is high and WWE sees that.”
Although Sasha Banks has been absent from WWE since May, The Boss might be about to complete a stunning return. For the broadcast of WWE Crown Jewel, Banks and fellow absentee Naomi were once again featured in WWE’s signature “Then, Now, Forever” signature open. The two women had been removed following their walkout six months ago.
This development comes after Sasha Banks teased something exciting on her Instagram page, commenting that something she has been waiting six months for was coming.
“As time passes, there’s been so much growth and so much beautiful opportunity and the journey that I’ve been loving but as the time also goes on, the date is coming that I’ve been waiting for…the past six months. I can’t wait, but I’m really going to make the most of November to make all my dreams happen in preparation for this date that I’ve been waiting for.
I’m very excited. I hope you guys come along for this journey, which I know a lot of you have been with me for so long so thank you, but I just wanted to let you know there’s going to be something so f*cking crazy coming.”
Although this could be taken to mean either a WWE return or departure, it was recently reported that The Boss remains under contract with the company.
