Triple H Welcomes Newest WWE SmackDown Personality

Triple H Hints At International WrestleMania:

Here is WWE SmackDown’s brand new addition.

Last year, after Samantha Irvin exited WWE, veteran ring announcer Lillian Garcia was called in as her replacement for Raw, while Alicia Taylor worked SmackDown. However, earlier this year, as Raw made its Netflix debut, Taylor was moved to Raw, and Garcia arrived on SmackDown.

A regular part of the blue brand for the past couple of months, Garcia recently bid adieu to the promotion. On the 28th March episode of SmackDown, the promotion revealed Garcia’s replacement.

Mark Shunock, a veteran combat sports announcer, is known most notably as the host and announcer for Top Rank Boxing on ESPN. He is also an in-arena host for the Vegas Golden Knights in the NHL and the Las Vegas Raiders in the NFL. With such an illustrative resume, Shunock made his SmackDown debut as Mark Nash.

Soon, the promotion’s Chief Content Officer, Triple H, welcomed Nash to the company on X(Twitter).

“Mark [Nash] crushed it in his first night at the in-ring announcer for SmackDown,” Triple H wrote. “Congratulations and welcome to the team.”

Nash’s exemplary debut has led to fan speculation about his upcoming performances.

Former TNA Champion Reveals The Advice He Received From Triple H Before Leaving NXT

During a recent interview with Ben Veal on Wrestling Life, former TNA World Champion James Storm explained his decision to leave NXT, and the advice he received from Triple H, before parting ways.

“Hunter just told me, he goes, ‘Hey, you know, you never know way down the line, just keep yourself in shape and you never know what can happen.’ It’s just one of those things where I don’t know, I’ve always kept myself in shape. I remember Jim Ross saying on his podcast, he goes, ‘Whenever you get the call, they’re not going to wait for you to get in shape. They want you ready to go.”
