Despite fears that they could be about to get lost in the great WWE reshuffle, it has been reported that Triple H remains a fan of one particular rising star.
Following the retirement of Vince McMahon, WWE has been undergoing changes seemingly by the day. Triple H, who has been installed as Head of Creative has quickly set about making his mark on WWE programming and the changes have already been substantial.
There has been an increased focus on the women’s division, previously underutilised stars have been given chance to shine, while a number of former Superstars who had been released by McMahon, have been re-signed. The most recent return coming on the August 22nd episode of Monday Night Raw as Johnny Gargano arrived on the red brand.
One star who some had expected to struggle under the new regime was Theory. Mr Money In The Bank had been a firm favourite of McMahon and had been earmarked for big things. The star even appeared alongside the former Chairman at WrestleMania 38.
However, it was now been reported that the Theory push is still very much intact. Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Triple H remains big on the former NXT star with the belief being that he just needs more in-ring seasoning due to his relative inexperience.
“The idea is to give Theory opponents that will give him experience because Theory is the one they really want to groom and it appears Levesque hasn’t done anything to change that. They like the guy. Good size, good look, very good athlete, just needs ring work,”
On the most recent episode of Raw, Theory confronted the returning Johnny Gargano getting a Superkick for his troubles.
