With the world of WWE currently going through a period of unprecedented uncertainty, a new report says Triple H has declared himself “back.”
WWE’s Board of Directors is currently undertaking an investigation into Vince McMahon amid claims he paid $3 million to a former company employee he is alleged to have had an affair with.
The investigation has also uncovered historical payments linked to other non-disclosure agreements that surround allegations of misconduct against McMahon and WWE Head of Talent Relations, John Laurinaitis.
As a result, Vince McMahon has been forced to step back as Chairman and CEO with Stephanie McMahon filling those roles on an interim basis. Laurinaitis has been placed on administrative leave by the company with Executive Director Bruce Prichard assuming that role for the time being.
Now a new report says another major corporate player in WWE might be back on the scene. POST Wrestling’s John Pollack has reported that Triple H [Paul Levesque] attended the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, indicating to all there that he was back:
“According to multiple sources, Paul Levesque was in Orlando today and spoke at the Performance Center. Of the people I heard from, Levesque stated “he’s back” – it is unknown what that entails but that was the wording I was given.”
Triple H was forced to step back from his duties in September 2021 following heart surgery after a “cardiac event.” Since then rumours are swirled as to Triple H’s future in the company with NXT – the brand he founded – undergoing a drastic revamp in his absence and his lieutenants on the brand, including William Regal and Road Dogg being let go.
