Triple H has revealed that he has a meeting with Bad Bunny scheduled to discuss a WWE return for the Hip Hop megastar.
Bad Bunny first appeared in WWE in January 2021 at the Royal Rumble where he performed his hit song “Booker T” alongside the WWE Hall of Famer.
Over the next few weeks he engaged in a feud with The Miz and became aligned with Damian Priest. This led to a match at WrestleMania 37 where Bad Bunny teamed with Priest to take on The Miz and John Morrison.
At the event, Priest and Bad Bunny scored the win, and the music star earned plaudits for his performance, which included him hitting a Canadian Destroyer. The star returned to WWE at the 2022 Royal Rumble where he entered the Royal Rumble Match.
Speaking at the post-WWE Clash At The Castle press conference, Triple H was asked by Michael Martinez of Lucha Libre Online about the prospect of the star returning to the company. After initially praising Bad Bunny and the likes of Logan Paul, Triple H admitted that he’s scheduled to meet the star very soon.
“You asked questions earlier about the passion and the dedication and the hard work, and everything else that goes into being a WWE Superstar. We do things with people like Bad Bunny, or Pat McAfee or Logan Paul. The excitement level that brings to fans outside of what we do, but I love working with people like that when they have the same passion that our Superstars have.
One thing about Bad Bunny, so when we went to Bad Bunny and he was going to face The Miz and they were doing all of their business for that, I was at the Performance Center weekly. Every single time that I would go there, they would say to me ‘Bunny’s in the other room if you wanna go say hi.’ He was in there, and I would go in, and he would be pouring with sweat, he’d be beat up, he was grinding.
When we talked to him about that event, he went and got himself a house in Orlando, lived there, and came to that Performance Center every single day. People talk about Logan Paul, I talk to Logan Paul on a regular basis. You don’t get as good as he is, as good as Bad Bunny is, that quickly, that fast, without putting in the dedication and the hard work.
So to me, he deserves every bit of respect that everybody else does. It’s what I said to Bunny after he worked with us the first time. ‘You earned my respect, I don’t give it easily.’ Logan Paul, same thing. Earned my respect, I don’t give it easily. Pat McAfee, same thing. There’s a list of people like that.
People don’t want to take it seriously and don’t want to respect what we do, I don’t wanna work with them. But somebody like Bad Bunny? Absolutely.
Little bit of a spoiler, he and I are going to have a conversation very, very soon. It’s already scheduled. We’re gonna go and see what’s available. He’s the biggest music star in the world so let’s go.”
During the press conference Triple H also confirmed that the door remains open to Tyson Fury regarding the boxing star potentially competing in a WWE ring.
