Triple H’s Pre-SummerSlam Vince McMahon Statement Drawing Lots Of Attention

WWE Triple H Vince McMahon

Ahead of SummerSlam, Triple H made some comments about Vince McMahon, which have drawn a lot of attention.

Triple H became WWE’s Head of Creative in 2022 after Vince McMahon had to step down due to alleged misconduct. Although McMahon returned not long after to oversee the company’s sale, it was eventually acquired by Endeavor and merged with UFC to form TKO Group Holdings.

The former Chairman found himself in a position of power in TKO as the Executive Chairman and a part of the Board of Directors, but stepped down again in 2024 following a lawsuit filed by a former WWE employee, Janel Grant, about alleged sexual misconduct and trafficking. Ahead of SummerSlam 2025, McMahon’s case was brought up during Triple H’s appearance on The Sports Agents podcast.

The Game answered that despite it being complicated, nobody was perfect, and that allegations were allegations. He also noted that the legal issues regarding the lawsuit were not something anyone else in the promotion could do anything about. He acknowledged that all they could do as a company was to move forward and that his job was to put out WWE’s product, which he was thankful had been thriving lately.

All we can do is move forward, for us as a company creative. Allegations are allegations. It’s a complicated relationship for anybody in life, nobody is perfect. Accusations are made and that’s a whole legal thing that is totally separate and aside from what we do. My job is to put on the best creative product WWE can do. Luckily and happily, it’s been successful. Business is in an incredible place right now and continuing to grow — It’s a wonderful time in our business and fans are enjoying it so we’re heading in a good direction.”

Triple H’s Response To Vince McMahon’s Lawsuit Received Mixed Reaction

Triple H’s response to Vince McMahon‘s lawsuit has divided fans.

For some, the response was handled well, citing that he was in an impossible position as McMahon was also his father-in-law, but would always try to pivot back to WWE’s product instead.

Check out some of the fan reactions below:

HHH is in an impossible position and I think he handles it as well as anyone possibly could. His father in law is Vince [McMahon], who happens to be going through all these lawsuits, his mother in law is the Trump administration, so when asked, he shows up (don’t care about his political affiliations, same with ‘Taker, they don’t try and push it on anyone). When he speaks, he tries to focus back on the product while trying to do his best to not try and alienate anyone while trying to be authentic and simultaneously not trying to hurt the business.”

“Perfect response honestly.”

“How can anyone argue with this? He’s literally CORRECT. I allow it.”

“Yall get he has to stay professional. All he was basically saying is that’s Vince’s problem and business moves on. Triple H is not responsible for Vince’s problems but he’s probably not allowed to talk about the matter.”

Meanwhile, some fans weren’t happy with the response and choice of words The Game used, citing that Vince McMahon was “way worse than the on-screen character.”

Allegations are just allegations…am I right? Huh lol.”

“vince has always been a gray figure. no matter what his contributions to wrestling are, the real life man is just way worse than the on-screen character. there’s no yin-yang, he’s a terrible person from the core.”

“Nobody is perfect is certainly a choice of words when it comes to describing a s*x trafficker.”
