Triple H Says We Haven’t Seen The Last Goldberg In WWE After Retirement Match

Triple H Goldberg WWE

WWE Chief Content Officer, Triple H, issued an interesting statement after Goldberg’s retirement match at Saturday Night’s Main Event XL.

Before Da Man laced up his boots for one last time, his son, Gage, had said there was a possibility that it might not be his father’s last time in the ring. However, fans can be assured that the Hall of Famer is now retired. Curiously, Triple H had something to say about the younger Goldberg.

Gage is no stranger to stepping into the ring, as he had done so previously to attack Bobby Lashley, and more recently, had an altercation with Gunther at SNME.

Triple H Says That Bill Probably Wasn’t The Last Goldberg We Will See In WWE

Speaking at the WWE Evolution Post-Show press conference, The Game congratulated Da Man on his career and said that he could see the sparkle in Gage’s eyes, which gave him hope that he could join the promotion one day.

He probably won’t be the last Goldberg in the business. I could see the sparkle in Gage’s eyes. If the NFL doesn’t work out, we will see. I’m happy and excited for Bill to have that moment. Nothing but congratulations on an incredible career.”

You can watch the WWE CCO’s statement in the video below from the 59:33 mark:

Gage has been a long-time wrestling fan and has stated in the past that wrestling was his backup plan if his football career didn’t work out. While the 18-year-old has not yet formally trained for in-ring action, it will come as no surprise if he transitions into it given his family history.

In other news, the real reason for the Hall of Famer’s retirement speech being cut off was revealed. You can read our full report about the incident here.
