Triple H Provides Update On Plans For NXT Europe

WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque has confirmed that the company still intends to launch NXT Europe, despite ongoing delays.

Speaking to the Daily Mail ahead of WrestleMania 41, Levesque addressed WWE’s global expansion strategy and the status of the long-delayed NXT Europe project. Originally announced in 2022 following the closure of NXT UK, NXT Europe was slated to launch in 2023. However, plans were put on hold during the company’s merger with UFC under the TKO banner, and the relaunch never materialised in 2024 as previously expected.

With recent talent tryouts and recruitment drives taking place across the UK and Europe, Levesque was asked whether NXT Europe is still in the pipeline.

“It is,” he said. “I’m still a big believer that the UK was going to work. The product was there, the interest level was there – the pandemic squashed it. For years we couldn’t move people, we couldn’t bring people in and it just shut it down. I still believe it’s there.”

Levesque emphasised that the goal is to create opportunities for talent globally, pointing out the limited infrastructure outside WWE.

“The opportunity in this industry… is few and far between outside of WWE, where you’re kind of just trying to do it on your own,” he said. “It’s as if you have an instrument but no one is teaching you how to play it… But if you have somebody teaching you, mentoring you, it makes it so much easier. That’s what this is about.”

He also confirmed that the company’s long-term vision includes expansion into Japan, the Middle East, and Australia.

“The future of the business for us is going to Japan, the Middle East, Australia… The people who don’t see that don’t see what we do.”

What Message Did Triple H Have For Critics Of WWE?

Triple H said that he wishes he could tell WWE’s critics to “fu*k off.” “The Game,” said that he wishes critics of the company would instead take the time to watch the product and not think about what they like and don’t like, and instead just focus on being entertained instead of forming a detailed opinion that they would see it very differently.

In recent news, a NXT Champion has made their main roster debut on the Raw after WrestleMania 41.
