Triple H Provides An Update On Dwight Howard’s WWE Future

Dwight Howard

Triple H thinks Dwight Howard has a future in professional wrestling…if he wants one.

WWE Head of Creative, EVP, and CCO, Triple H recently spoke with the Sporting News and provided a bit of an update on the status of NBA All-Star, Dwight Howard, who, of course, took part in the company’s open tryouts, earlier this year during SummerSlam weekend in Nashville, Tennessee.

According to Triple H, ‘the ball’ is in Howard’s ‘court’, on a potential run in WWE:

“Dwight, in the conversations we had, was like, ‘you know I really want to do this; I’m serious, I really want to do this.’ But we hear that a lot. And there’s a difference between saying ‘I want to do this,’ and putting in the grind and doing the work to get there.”

When he says, ‘hey, I want to give this a shot,” he’s got my phone number,” said Levesque. “All he’s got to do is call me and we’ll see what can happen. If he’s willing to put in the grind and the drive that guys like Logan Paul, Bad Bunny and Tyson Fury are willing to put in, then let’s go!”

Perhaps Dwight Howard is awaiting on the start of the 2022-23 NBA Season to begin, next month before making a decision on his potential future in the world of professional wrestling. The 36-year-old, one-time NBA Champion is currently a free agent as he enters is 19th season in the league.
