Triple H Praises Jey Uso After WWE World Heavyweight Title Victory

WWE Hall Of Famer Defends Jey Uso's Spot, Shoots Down Fan Theory

At WrestleMania 41, Jey Uso captured the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

After surprisingly winning the men’s Royal Rumble, Uso was quick to pick Gunther as his WrestleMania 41 opponent, and after months of bitter rivalry that saw the Ring General leave Jimmy Uso beaten and bathed in his own blood, they finally clashed for the coveted title.

In the opening match of the Las Vegas supershow, Jey Uso battled the dominant Austrian, Gunther, to end his 259 day title reign.

Taking to social media, the company’s Chief Content Officer celebrated Uso’s monumental victory by stating:

You cannot teach what Jey Uso has…His connection to our audience, his passion, his charisma…and generations of this business running through his veins.

Jey Uso is your new World Heavyweight Champion. Congratulations…and…

Triple H Also Celebrated Jey Uso’s Triumph At The WWE WrestleMania Post Show Press Conference

During the post show, Triple H elaborated on Uso’s evolution, noting that his rise to the top was a culmination of consistent growth and connection with fans

It’s a process, it’s not a moment, I don’t think, ever. Might be a moment where we were all like, something’s happening here, but it’s usually not a particular moment because it’s things over time. I think everybody saw something different in Jey over the last couple of years in that Bloodline story and the way he handled himself and the emotion, but I think a lot of people thought it was this cast of characters making this great ensemble piece that worked and that when he goes off on his own, it’s gonna be different, doesn’t have all these other people to play off of, doesn’t have this story. Then he goes out there and there is a different connection with people. It’s funny because sometimes I see people talk about Jey and they are like, the yeet guy is doing his yeet thing. What he’s doing is he sees something that is truly him, that resonated with people and caught on.”
