Danny Burch is one of the most consistent wrestlers in NXT, Triple H revealed during a media call in advance of War Games. Answering a question from Matty Paddock of the Daily Star, Triple H said of the British wrestler.
“There’s a lot to be said of consistency. He can do it all. Sometimes performers like him float under the radar but they always deliver.”
He also added that the consistency he has is a very valuable trait. At the same time, he dismissed those who look down upon so-called ‘midcarders’.
“In today’s world that [long-term consistency] can be sometimes negated. There used to be a term ‘Midcard for life’ […] so many amazing Hall-of-Fame level worthy, legendary, iconic performers were never ‘the guy’ and that is a phenomenal place. He’s an extremely valuable performer.”
Triple H finished his answer by continuing to lavish praise upon Danny Burch and his dedication.
“I look at him and I think: ‘Man, I wish I could have a lot of people who were that dedicated, that professional, that polished’. And that’s an awesome thing. I cannot say enough good things about him.”
Finally, looking ahead to the future, he did add one extra thought on the Brit:
“He’s one of those who flies under the radar right up until he doesn’t”
Danny Burch is teaming up with fellow Brit Pete Dunne, tag-team partner Oney Lorcan and wrestling convert Pat McAfee to take on the Undisputed Era in a Wargames match on the upcoming show (06-December).
