Triple H On Adam Cole’s Future – “I Advise You To Watch On Tuesday”

Following the brutal Unsanctioned Match between Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, Triple H has provided an update on Cole’s future with the black and gold brand.

Speaking on a media call after night two of the extravaganza, Triple H revealed that despite his defeat at TakeOver, Adam Cole is far from done with NXT.

Answering a question put to him by Michael Morales Torres, Triple H promoted NXT’s upcoming move to Tuesday night’s, adding that this is where Cole’s future would be decided.

“I mean, I would advise you to watch on Tuesday. You know, I don’t know if you’ve heard or not, but this Tuesday we start on USA, it’s a new night and it’ll be spectacular. So I think all things will be revealed then.”

Expanding further The Game explained that just because there appears to have been a definitive end to a story, that doesn’t mean that Cole will be moving on.

“It’s a funny thing when you when you succeed here and you do really well here for a fairly long period of time, there are moments in time where you’re telling stories and then, you know, something definitive happens like tonight and people think that’s well, that’s the end of it. Certainly that’s the end of the book. That’s the end of the chapter. That’s that’s the move on. There’s not that case at all. You know, if that were the case and, you know, have this roster would be leaving tonight. And it’s not the case at all. It’s it’s a chapter in the story. It’s a chapter in the saga that they’re telling. And Kyle Reilly proving himself against the man that that said he was the leader of the Undisputed Era and was just dragging them all along. And we’re just his his lackeys proving not so much of a lackey anymore. But if I’m Adam Cole, I can’t imagine that that sits very well with him. So I would imagine that is not the end of the story.”

Shawn Michaels, who was also present on the call, praised Cole’s adversary Kyle O’Reilly, adding that he has put himself on the top level with Adam Cole.

“Yeah, and this is right. This is taking Kyle O’Reilly to the next level. I think everybody would agree that Adam Cole was certainly been in the top level for over a year here now. And I think now Kyle O’Reilly has put himself on that same level as Adam Cole. I can’t see that stopping now.”

Later on in the call Triple H gave an update on the WWE status of amateur star Gable Stevenson. The Game explained that while no decisions have been made on either side as yet, he believes Steveson would make an “amazing” WWE Superstar.

NXT airs next Tuesday live via USA Network in the US and BT Sport in the UK. Full results from Night 1 of TakeOver: Stand & Deliver are available here and Night 2 results are here.
