Triple H has extended an offer to another huge sports star, commenting that all they have to do is call him if they want to step into a WWE ring.
The sight of celebrities from outside of wrestling stepping inside the ropes is becoming more and more of a regular occurrence.
After successful outings at WrestleMania and SummerSlam, YouTube star Logan Paul is set to meet Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel. Meanwhile, Tyson Fury appeared at Clash At The Castle, having previously wrestled with the company.
Triple H also recently confirmed that he was set to hold talks with Bad Bunny regarding a WWE return for the rap megastar.
Someone else clearly intent in getting in on the action is NBA star Dwight Howard. The eight-time All-Star attended a recent set of WWE try-outs in the lead up to SummerSlam and wowed onlookers by diving straight in and cutting promos with the budding WWE Superstars.
During a recent interview with the Sporting News, Triple H was asked whether there had been any movement in regard to putting a deal together involving Howard. The Game explained that the situation depends on the NBA Champion and what he wants to do, adding that all he has to do is call.
“I think the ball’s in his court. It’s a funny thing, Dwight, in the conversations we had was like, ‘I really want to do this, I’m serious. I really want to do this.’ But we hear that a lot, and there’s a difference between saying, ‘I wanna do this,’ and putting the grind and doing the work to get there. [He] came by our try-outs in Nashville, was incredibly entertaining, jumping in promos by himself and with others. Incredibly entertaining, really driven to want to do this. It’s just a matter for him of he’s got a lot of things going on.
So when he says, ‘Hey, I wanna give this a shot,’ he’s got my phone number. All he’s gotta do is call me, and we’ll see what can happen. If he’s willing to put in the grind and drive that guys like Logan Paul and Bad Bunny and Tyson Fury are willing to put in, then let’s go,”
With regard to Tyson Fury, speaking at a press conference after Clash At The Castle, Triple H said that the “door is always open” for the boxing star to return to WWE.
