Triple H Names The WWE Hall Of Famer Who Held D-Generation X Together: “We Get In A Fight”

Billy Gunn Triple H Chyna X-Pac Road Dogg DX D-Generation X

Triple H has named the D-Generation X’s MVP.

Arguably one of the greatest WWE factions of all time, D-Generation X aka DX, the faction became one of the integral pillars of the Attitude Era. Triple H was a member of multiple teams, including Evolution and The Authority, over the years, and his rebellious stint with D-Generation X remains memorable.

Consisting of Shawn Michaels, Billy Gunn, X-Pac, Road Dogg, and Chyna, the group was inducted into the 2019 Class of Hall of Fame. While all the other members earned recognition individually, Chyna never received hers.

During a recent interview on The Roommates Show with Brunson and Josh Hart, Triple H heaped praises on Chyna, and hailed as the group’s MVP. Credited with holding the group together, WWE’s Chief Content Officer said,

On DX, I would say Shawn, but there is part of me that would say Chyna. Shawn, only because, at the time when we first started and Shawn was in DX with me, I was learning so much from him on a day-to-day basis about the business. Chyna was the glue that held that together. If you look at the crew, I’m like the guy that doesn’t drink or do any other stuff, so I’m easy to deal with. Shawn is a mess. Road Dogg is a mess. X-Pac is a mess.

Billy is a mess. The glue that sort of held that all together is Chyna because she kept everybody in line. There is only so much shit I can tell them and control them before they’re like, ‘F off,’ and we get in a fight about it. Nobody is going to give her a hard time, so whatever she says goes. She is kind of the glue there.”

While a part of the 2019 Hall of Fame class, Chyna sadly passed away in 2016. A two-time Intercontinental Champion and a former women’s champion, Chyna’s physical appearance and charisma set her apart from the rest of the locker room.

Triple H Once Explained Why WWE Never Inducted Chyna Solo In The Hall Of Fame

During an appearance on Stone Cold’s Broken Skull Sessions in 2015, Triple H opened up on WWE’s decision to not induct Chyna into the Hall of Fame. Addressing her career in the Adult entertainment industry, The Cerebral Assassin claimed:

It’s a bit difficult, though, and this is the flip side of the coin that nobody looks at. I’ve got an 8-year-old kid, and my 8-year-old kid sees Hall of Fame, and my 8-year-old kid goes on the internet to look at Chyna. What comes up? And I’m not criticizing anybody. I’m not criticizing lifestyle choices. Everybody has their reasons. I don’t know what they were. I don’t care to know. It’s not a morality thing or anything else. It is just the fact of what it is. That’s a difficult choice.”

While the promotion never inducted Chyna on her own, they later included her as a part of DX during their 2019 inductions.
