According to a new report, Triple H had a meeting with talent before Raw and detailed the changes he’ll make as he takes over creative responsibilities.
In the wake of Vince McMahon announcing his retirement from WWE, Triple H was named the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations last week. It was revealed on July 25 that he will also be taking on the responsibilities as head of WWE creative, a change that has been widely praised by those within the company.
A new report from Fightful Select states that Triple H held a talent meeting before the July 25th Raw from Madison Square Garden, and those in contact with Fightful were said to be pleased with the way the meeting went. There is a feeling of optimism regarding the changes made within the company.
The report continued, noting that Triple H promised the talent a level of transparency that some felt wasn’t present during the previous regime. He said that he wants an open line of communication between himself and the talent. In recent years, it’s become common to have to wait hours to speak with Vince McMahon, and face time with the former CEO was said to be dwindling.
Triple H also made it clear that he wants work to be fun. According to Fightful, the general consensus following the meeting was positive.
On July 22nd, Vince McMahon retired from his duties as both CEO and head of WWE creative amidst an investigation into allegations of misconduct. A federal investigation reportedly hastened the decision for him to step away.
