WWE EVP and COO Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque took to social media on Tuesday to share a positive message during his recovery from heart surgery.
“Paul Levesque, a.k.a. Triple H, underwent a successful procedure last week at Yale New Haven Hospital following a cardiac event. The episode was caused by a genetic heart issue and Paul is expected to make a full recovery.”
Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, the WWE COO said that he is “blow away by the outreach and support from so many people.” He went on to say that he is “recovering, doing well, and deeply grateful for all the love in [his] life.”
I’ve been blown away by the outreach and support from so many people. I’m recovering, doing well, & deeply grateful for all the love in my life. Especially grateful for @ShawnMichaels & all the Superstars & crew @WWENXT! (Steph and the girls loved the snacks!)
See you soon 🙏❤️

The ‘King of Kings’ also made special mention of his the Superstars and crew at NXT, naming his friend Shawn Michaels specifically. Michaels has been instrumental in working behind the scenes of NXT alongside Triple H since 2018, and has reportedly been stepping in to help run the show during Levesque’s absence.
Another close friend who helped form the D-Generation X stable with Triple H and Shawn Michaels was Sean ‘X-Pac’ Waltman, who recently spoke on his Pro Wrestling 4 Life podcast about the messages he’d exchanged with ‘The Game’ following his heart procedure.
“I haven’t talked to him on the phone, but we had this running joke, Paul and I. We’d be talking forever, be on the phone for an hour or two, and finally, whenever it was time for Paul to get off the phone, he’d go, ‘Are you going to be around later?’ And he never called me later.”
“It was just, it’s time to take this home. I heard the news just like everyone else, and I just texted him, ‘Hey man, I’m glad you’re gonna be around later,’ and he just said, ‘Me too. Love you, kiddo,’ and that’s it. That’s the extent of what I know. I wasn’t gonna say, ‘Tell me what happened.’ I don’t need to know. I just need to know he’s okay (Waltman starts choking up).”
Everyone at Inside the Ropes continues to wish Paul Levesque well for a full and speedy recovery.
