Triple H is a big fan of the most unselfish wrestler of this generation, and fortunately, the man in question carries WWE on his shoulders.
[Before we begin, please note that this is an opinion piece.]
For years, Seth Rollins has emerged as one of the most valuable players in the game for so many reasons. Rollins has mastered the art of losing, as he has lost to every major returning star in recent years, including the late Bray Wyatt after the latter debuted “The Fiend” in 2019, Cody Rhodes, who returned in 2022 after revolutionizing the business by co-founding AEW a few years earlier, and CM Punk at the Netflix debut of WWE RAW in 2025.
All signs point to a similar pattern at WWE’s ESPN debut with Wrestlepalooza Premium Live Event, as Punk’s wife, AJ Lee, returned this past Friday to reportedly set up a Mixed Tag Team match against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. Granted, Rollins and Lynch could still walk out the victors should the bout get announced. But then it is not just the art of losing, but more about how to come back all guns blazing.
Seth Rollins has worked through injuries, like during WrestleMania season last year. Despite this, his work ethic is off the charts. Rollins gave WWE Hall of Famer Edge arguably his feud following The Rated-R Superstar’s triumphant return in 2020 from an injury that forced early retirement nearly a decade ago.
Seth Rollins Is A Triple H Guy, The WWE CCO Draws Comparisons To His Own Personal And Professional Life
After successfully retaining the World Heavyweight Championship at Clash in Paris, which set the stage for AJ Lee’s return, Triple H praised Seth Rollins.
During the post-show, he compared Rollins and Becky Lynch to himself and Stephanie McMahon.
[Behind every great man is a greater woman.] That has been my life. For me, I’ve had that play out in my career,” Triple H said. “Seth Rollins — Just when you think all his cards are on the table, and he’s got nothing left, he’s by himself, he’s all alone, no Paul Heyman, no Bron Breakker, no Bronson Reed, he’s by himself — He’s always got an ace up his sleeve. And what better ace than his legendary wife [Becky Lynch], to come out here and put him over the top?”
At SummerSlam last month, Seth Rollins recreated his iconic 2015 WrestleMania moment after his cash-in, but with a twist, ergo kickstarting his second reign as the World Heavyweight Champion. He remains the top villain on Monday Night RAW. Aside from this, Rollins is also the leader of The Vision, a dominant faction consisting of new generation stars Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker, with “The Oracle” Paul Heyman as their manager.
It would be safe to say that the Chief Content Officer, Triple H, is a lucky person to have the most unselfish star of this generation to carry the company, who is also undoubtedly a future Hall of Famer.
