AJ Styles has doubled down on his desire to face WWE’s Executive Vice President, Global Talent Strategy & Development Triple H before he retires from wrestling.
Speaking with ITN Wrestling, The Phenomenal One has opened up about how he’d like to face The Game, and spoken of the “absolute pleasure” of wrestling Undertaker.
“Triple H is definitely the next guy I’d like to face at some point. It could happen, maybe not. But it was an absolute pleasure to be in the ring, or not necessarily the ring, the Boneyard with the Undertaker.”
Styles would reveal how Triple H, Drew McIntyre and Edge would be his dream matches for this year’s WrestleMania.
Triple H, of course, recently returned to the ring having not wrestled a match in 2020 – the first time The Game hasn’t had one match in a calendar year – with an impromptu brawl with Randy Orton in the main event of last week’s RAW.
Styles recently opened up about how long he has left in the ring saying some days, he feels like he has years left, sometimes less than one year.
“It’s really whenever it feels right. Some days, I feel like I can go five, six more years. And then some days, I’m like, ‘Oh, man, I can be done this year.’ As you get older, it’s just changing. You have to listen to your body and figure out what it can do next.
“With my style, it’s a bit different, so I like to push it still to this day. I’m going to go as long as I can, as long as I can stay healthy and see what happens and where it takes us.”
